Descripción del Proyecto
The project consist of raising the wastewater from El Attar to the wastewater treatment plant of the same name.
With a total geometric height of 98 metres, a first 2,166 l/sg (187,142 m3/day) pumping station raises the water the first 47m. A second station of equal flow reaches the 98m required. For safety both pumping stations are divided in two, each consisting of 4+1 pumps with a capacity of 271 l/sec and a manometric head of 51 and 54 meters respectively.
The civil works have been carried to accommodate a future expansion to 3,250 l/sg (280,800 m3/day). This would be achieved by installing two more pumps in each pumping station.
The impulsion pipes have a total length of 8.0 km for each pumping stage from the initial pumping station to the WWTP. The pipeline consists of two parallel GRP 1,200 mm diameter PN10 pipes (one per pump).
