IHSA receives Clean Industry Certificate for Nejo Transport Subsystem

On 9 June 2017, at the Auditorium of the Comprehensive Production Asset Block No. 1 in the City of Reynosa Tamaulipas, Iberoamericana de Hidrocarburos, S.A. de C.V. (IHSA) received the Clean Industry Certificate for the Nejo Transport Subsystem from the Mexican Oil Authorities (PEMEX).
The Certificate awarded consists of voluntarily registering the companies in the National Environmental Auditing Programme, designed for “Operational companies that, due to their location, size, characteristics and scope could have negative effects or impacts on the environment or exceed the limits established in the applicable provisions for environmental protection, prevention and restoration.”
The Benefits of the Clean Industry certification go beyond regulatory compliance, as the action plans deriving from an environmental audit include preventive and/or corrective measures in the area of water, air, soil and subsoil, environmental impact and risk, hazardous waste, urban solids, special processing and natural resources.
