The Central Hidroeléctrica Renace II is a hydroelectric complex located in San Pedro Carchá, Alta Verapaz. It is the largest hydroelectric project in Guatemala (Corporación Multi Inversiones, 2014) and is managed by the Energy Division of Corporación Multi-Inversiones (CMI). It produces approximately 114 MW of energy categorized as renewable and pollution-free.
The infrastructure is equipped with a Diversion dam, a 1.1 kilometer conduction channel, 8.5 kilometers of tunnels, a 100,000 cubic meter reservoir, high pressure pipelines and four generation units.
This comprises of the second part of CMI's Renace project (Multi-Investment Corporation, 2014).
