Descripción del Proyecto
Within the Plan de Renovación y Mejora de REE, this project consists of the substitution of components (foundations, pylons, phase conductors, guard cables, insulation and fixing staples) for the 66kV double and single circuit Gran Tarajal - Matas Blancas and Candelaria – Tagoro power lines, located on Fuerteventura and Tenerife. Work carried out whilst maintaining the lines in service.
The project began with the reconditioning of foundations and the substitution of the anchor points. The pylon structures were braced whilst loose material was removed from the base plinths and anchor points were replaced. A truss supported by a crane sustained the conductors during the substitution of pylons allowing voltage to be maintained in the line. The replacement pylon having been previously assembled on the ground was moved into place. For double circuits two cranes were required. Later bypasses were attached to the structure and through the opening and closing of bridges the conductor and insulation could be substituted in sections.
