Cobra’s water subsidiary, Tedagua, entered the Australian water market with the design, construction and operation of the Altona Wastewater Treatment and Recycled Water Plant. Contract was with Tedra Australia Pty Ltd, a Tedagua subsidiary.
The Altona Recycled Water Plant consists of ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis membrane processes with double flow, and was described by the client City West Water as “revolutionary in terms of technology and production”. The plant has a production capacity of 9,000m3/day , of which 5,900m3/day are use dby nearby industries and 3,100m3/day for the irrigation of local parks and golf courses.
